Ordering FAQ

Who are you and where are you located? - We are a small, family-run company in Ohio, USA. We import the highest quality micro-algae products for you directly from Taiwan. (Taiwan is not China - Chinese regulations are lax when it comes to food and nutritional products. Taiwan on the other hand has strict standards and regulations that all food and nutritional product manufacturers must abide by. Taiwan produces the highest quality of micro-algae products. Please remember, when you choose to support a small, family run business, you are not supporting a huge corporation or helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. Our customers are our shareholders and they are the ones we strive to make happy. Thank you for supporting small businesses!

What methods of payment do you accept? - We offer two methods of payment:  PayPal and Credit Card. We will soon be adding additional methods of payments.

I am not comfortable entering my credit card. Can I give it to you over the phone? - Rest assured - your personal and financial information is safe guarded. However, we are not set up to accept credit cards over the phone, so we would not be able to enter your number into our system. We do that for your security and our protection. There are many PCI compliance requirements necessary to be able to legally handle credit card numbers. We could choose to handle numbers regardless, as some small businesses do, but we don't choose to work that way. Customers can enter their numbers using one of two methods: 1) PayPal - a trusted payment method world wide or 2) entering directly on our site. We use Stripe (https://stripe.com/us/features#seamless-security) payment processing for numbers entered directly onto our site. They handle all the security and PCI compliance requirements necessary for us, and we never capture or even see the numbers ourselves. We also sell products on Amazon.com, although the price structure is not exactly the same as it is on our site.

Chlorella And Spirulina FAQ

Are there any fillers or binders in Chlorella Fella products? - Some less expensive brands of chlorella and spirulina do contain fillers such as calcium carbonate, cellulose, or starch. They are used so that products can be made with less of the actual product (chlorella or spirulina). Our products do not contain fillers such as these meant to dilute the potency of the product. Our tablet products are 100% product and contain no binders or other ingredients. Adding a binder (such as magnesium stearate) or some type of antiadherent is very common in the tableting industry. Without it, the tablet forming machines must run at a slower speed to put enough pressure into a mold containing the powder which binds it together. However, it is possible to make chlorella and spirulina tablets without binders because they have a natural "sticky" tendency, but it is a more expensive process. Most chlorella and spirulina tablet products on the market today do add binders / antiadherents/excipients since it allows faster, easier, and more profitable production. We decided we wanted to stick with 100% pure products and so we made the decision to source our products from a premier micro-algae producer, known for its exceptionally high quality and clean products, even though it comes at a big expense to us. It is continuously monitored for purity and bacterial contamination by on-site laboratories. Our manufacturers in Taiwan are registered with the US FDA and have Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification. In addition, our manufacturer uses ISO certified quality management systems and processes and possesses a specific food safety certification that not many other companies have (HACCP). They grow the purest, cleanest 100% sun-grown micro-algae products available.  We will always strive to put our customers and their health first and our product quality is second to none.

Is there any soy in your products? - No, there is no soy or derivatives of soy added to our products. In addition, our microalgae products do not contain any of the other main allergens: egg, shellfish, fish, peanus, tree nuts, milk or wheat.

How much should I take per day? – 5-10 grams or 20 - 40 tablets, per day is a good maintenance dosage of Chlorella to take. You will notice significant changes in digestion, energy and overall health. Chlorella should ideally be consumed throughout the day rather than all at once. This gives the body a better opportunity to absorb the nutrients and use them as they are required. It is better to take it 20 – 30 minutes before mealtime so it can help with digestion and intake of nutrients. Morning is also a good time to take it.

What results should I expect from taking Chlorella? – Usually one of the first things you will notice is better digestion, especially if you have bad breath or constipation. However, many of the benefits of Chlorella are subtle and not easily determined. For instance, it has been observed to remove heavy metals and other synthetics from the body by actually binding with them so they may be pulled from the bloodstream. It can take around 3 – 6 months for heavy metals to begin to be removed from the blood depending on the amount of Chlorella that is being taken. If you have heavy metals in your body, then you should begin by taking 15 – 20 grams per day depending on the level of heavy metals that are present.

Can a sick person take it? A dosage of 10-20 grams a day is recommended for someone who is sick, especially with a chronic disease. It is also recommended that people who are sick take Spirulina as well as Chlorella to get the full benefits of both these powerful wholefoods.  Of course, as with any product, you should contact your health care practitioner if you have a medical condition or are taking prescription medications.

Has your Chlorella been pasteurized or freeze-dried? Absolutely not. If it had, it would no longer contain any enzymes, one of the most powerful and important aspects of Chlorella and Spirulina. Any food that has been cooked, processed, pasteurized or freeze-dried has lost its enzymes, which are of importance to excellent health regardless of our age.

Can children take Chlorella? – Although Chlorella is a safe and healthy food, and has been used all over the world by people of all ages since the beginning of time, we do face some limitations in the US in promoting its use in children. In light of that, we have made the business decision to recommend it only for adults 18 and older. However, there are many countries around the world where it is commonly accepted and appreciated for people of all ages.

Why do you offer a 30/70 mix instead of a 50/50 mix of Chlorella/Spirulina? - The mix doesn't really matter that much. We offer a 30/70 ratio because our founder recommended it as a suggested ratio. If you want to create your own ratio, we sell each product individually, so you can easily create your own 50/50 mix.

Could I live off eating only Chlorella or Spirulina? - In theory you could just eat algae and survive but we do not recommend or endorse this. It is always better to have a balanced diet with fresh fruit and vegetables. Chlorella and Spirulina can definitely add high quality protein to your diet so you don't have to eat as much animal protein.

Will your Chlorella and Spirulina products help treat condition X? - Due to strict regulations, we can not provide medical advice or treatment recommendations. You should always speak to your doctor before looking into alternative treatments for your condition. We can tell you that Chlorella and Spirulina are foods, not medicine - superfoods packed full of nutritional goodness that can only have a positive effect on your body. But we can't speak to their effectiveness in treating any specific medical conditions. You will also notice the addition of FDA disclaimers on our site and  product labels: These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. The products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or illness. The information provided on this website is not intended to replace the advice of your health care provider. If you have any medical conditions, are pregnant or lactating, or are taking prescription medications, consult your health care provider.
