Chlorella tablets are definitely a convenient way to take this highly nutritious supplement.
They are available in a number of different sizes - 1000mg, 500mg, 250mg and 200mg. Personally I prefer the smaller sized tablets. They are much easier to swallow in higher numbers.
Be aware that Chlorella is not a drug, medicine, or a vitamin for that matter. It is a highly nutritious plant. A single celled algae that has a high amount of beneficial substances that the body needs to function well. It is a whole food, meaning it is basically in the form found in it's natural state with little processing.
Because it is a natural food and not a concentrate you will need to take enough Chlorella tablets to do some good. This means taking anywhere from 5-20 grams per day. This would mean taking 20 250mg tablets for every 5 grams. So, if you wanted to have 20 grams per day - which is not unusual - you would need to eat 80 tablets.
This sounds like a lot. If it is for you and you still want to take 20 grams or more a day then consider buying Chlorella powder. I have found the smaller tablet is much, much easier to handle than the larger varieties. The 1000mg or 500mg tablets seem to feel like they are stuck in my throat. With the 200mg or 250mg tablets I can whack down 10 or more with one gulp of water. Much easier on the throat :)
Personally I take about 30 grams of Chlorella per day. Chlorella is around 65% pure, digestible protein so this gives me 19.5 grams of protein. I don't even mind taking that many Chlorella tablets because it's just compressed, green veges. If you want to take large amounts of Chlorella, I would suggest buying both the powder and the tablets. This way you can take the powder when you are at home and use the tablets for when you are at the office or on the road.
